Feed grade calcium hydrogen phosphate #CAS7757-93-9
It is stable under normal temperature and pressure. It is slightly soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol and other organic solvents. Its aqueous suspension shows weak acidity. It will not decompose or volatilize under conventional storage conditions. When heated above 100 degrees Celsius, it gradually loses crystal water and converts to anhydrous dicalcium phosphate. It can react with strong acid to produce soluble calcium salt and phosphoric acid. It does not react with most neutral substances. It is non-flammable, non-explosive and has low corrosiveness. Long-term storage in humid environment may cause slight caking, but the quality will not be affected.
Application of Feed grade calcium hydrogen phosphate
It is a premium mineral feed additive widely recognised and applied in the global feed industry. It supplies highly bioavailable calcium and phosphorus, two essential macro-minerals that serve as the main building blocks for bones, teeth and cartilage tissue of livestock, poultry and aquatic animals. Proper addition of dicalcium phosphate maintains a balanced calcium-phosphorus ratio in animal diets, which is critical for normal nutrient absorption and bone mineralisation. It can effectively prevent typical mineral deficiency disorders including rickets in young calves, piglets and chicks, osteomalacia and osteoporosis in adult breeding stock, as well as skeletal deformity and lameness. For laying hens, it strengthens eggshell structure, reduces the proportion of soft-shell eggs, cracked eggs and thin-shell eggs, stabilises laying rate and prolongs the peak laying period. For meat-producing broilers, pigs, beef cattle and sheep, it accelerates daily weight gain, optimises feed conversion ratio, shortens the feeding cycle and improves carcass quality. When used in aquafeed for fish, shrimp, crab and other crustaceans, it facilitates normal shell formation and smooth moulting, reduces moulting failure, limb deformity and mortality, and improves the survival rate of aquatic species. It also participates in energy metabolism, enzyme activity regulation and nerve signal transmission inside animal bodies, supporting muscle contraction, normal heart function and immune response. It shows excellent compatibility with corn, soybean meal, wheat bran and most common feed raw materials, premixes, trace element additives and vitamins. It can be evenly incorporated into compound feed, concentrated feed and mineral premixes. It does not easily interact with conventional feed ingredients under proper storage and mixing conditions. It helps improve the reproductive performance of breeding animals, increases the birth weight of newborn animals and lowers the risk of postpartum paralysis in sows and dairy cows.
